How To Make:
3 easy ways to cook your Low Carb Brown Rice & Ancient Grain Blend:
RICE COOKER:
Rinse 1 cup of this Lower Carb Rice Blend under cold water.
Place the rice in the rice cooker bowl.
Add 2 1/4 cups of cold water and bring to the boil.
Start cooking in the rice cooker. When rice finishes cooking, rice cooker will switch to ‘keep warm’ (after approx 30 minutes).
Allow rice to stand for 5 minutes with lid closed before serving.
ABSORPTION:
Rinse 1 cup of this Lower Carb Rice Blend under cold water.
Place the rice in a large saucepan.
Add 1 3/4 cups of cold water and bring to the boil.
Reduce heat and simmer covered for 25-30 minutes
Remove from heat, and stand covered for 5 minutes prior to serving.
BOIL:
Rinse 1 cup of this Lower Carb Rice Blend under cold water.
Place the rice in a large saucepan.
Add 8 cups of cold water and bring to the boil. Stir rice occasionally.
Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 25-30 minutes
Remove from heat, drain rice well and serve.
Please note that cooking times may vary slightly based on stove or rice cooker.
To check rice is cooked to your liking, remove a small amount with a fork, let cool and taste prior to serving.
